TAMPA, Fla. - Robert C. Rasmussen, a founding shareholder of Glenn Rasmussen Fogarty & Hooker, P.A., has been elected Secretary of  Lowry Park Zoological Society of Tampa and reappointed to the Executive Committee and the Nominating and Governance Committee of the Board of Trustees. 

Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo is operated by the Lowry Park Zoological Society, an independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization committed to excellence in education, conservation and research. Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), and has been named the No. 1 zoo in America by both Parents magazine (2009) and Child magazine (2004).

Bob has practiced corporate and securities law since 1974 and is co-head of the Corporate Finance Group at the firm.  He has represented public and private corporations in all stages of development and in a broad range of corporate finance matters, including all aspects of SEC compliance, public and private securities offerings, and merger, acquisition, and divestiture transactions.   He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA, Florida Super Lawyers, Florida Trend's Legal Elite, and Who's Who Legal in American Law, and AV Peer Review Rated in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.  He received his J.D. from the University of Iowa.
