TAMPA, Fla. - Sharon Docherty Danco, a shareholder in the Corporate Finance practice group of Glenn Rasmussen Fogarty & Hooker, P.A., has been elected to The Children's Home, Inc. Board of Directors, where she will serve a two-year term of office.

The Children's Home seeks to create a community where children and families feel loved, nurtured, and safe through a variety of programs that help nearly 7,000 parents and children each year.  The nationally recognized and accredited residential treatment facility cares for more than 120 children each year who have been victimized by abuse, neglect and abandonment.  Over the years, the organization has cared for more than 25,000 children in the community and become one of the Tampa Bay region's preeminent children and family organizations. 

Sharon has practiced corporate and securities law since 1988. She has experience with both public and private companies, and her practice emphasizes mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, general SEC reporting and compliance, executive benefit and compensation arrangements, internal corporate governance matters, and solid waste management contracts and procurements.  She is listed in Chambers USA and is AV Peer Review Rated in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.  Sharon received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was a member of the Virginia Tax Review.
