TAMPA, Fla. - George E. Spofford, IV, a shareholder in the Construction practice group of Glenn Rasmussen Fogarty & Hooker, P.A., has been named a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America TM (LCA). The LCA is an invitation-only trial lawyer honorary society. Membership is limited to 3,500 Fellows, representing less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. The composition of the LCA is diverse, with recognition of excellence among American litigation and trial counsel across all segments of the bar. Fellows are selected based upon effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation and trial work, along with ethical reputation.
George is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Construction Law and has focused his practice in the construction industry for more than 20 years. He routinely represents clients in matters such as litigation of delay, extra work claims, breach of contract actions, mining disputes, claims preparation, bid protests, OSHA matters, contract negotiation and drafting, and claims avoidance. George serves as General Counsel for the Underground Utility Contractors of Florida and is a member of many other construction organizations. He is listed in Chambers USA, Florida Trend's Legal Elite, and Florida Super Lawyers, and is also AV Peer Review Rated in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.
