TAMPA, Fla. - Michael B. Colgan, a shareholder in the Commercial Litigation practice group of Glenn Rasmussen Fogarty & Hooker, P.A., has been named a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America TM (LCA).
The LCA is an invitation-only trial lawyer honorary society. Membership is limited to 3,500 Fellows, representing less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. The composition of the LCA is diverse, with recognition of excellence among American litigation and trial counsel across all segments of the bar. Fellows are selected based upon effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation and trial work, along with ethical reputation.
Mike holds dual board certifications by The Florida Bar in Business Litigation and in Civil Trial Law. He is the firm's senior trial lawyer, with particular experience in complex business disputes and class action litigation. He is an elected member of the American Law Institute, where he has served as a member of the Consultative Group for the Restatement of Torts, the Restatement of Restitution, the Restatement of Law Governing Lawyers, and the Complex Litigation Project. Mike has written and lectured on trial topics, is a Board Certified Mediator, and currently serves as an Emeritus member of the Florida Board of Bar Examiners. He is also AV Peer Review Rated in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory and listed in The Best Lawyers in America® and Florida Super Lawyers.
