TAMPA, Fla. - Glenn Rasmussen Fogarty & Hooker, P.A., a business law firm celebrating its 25th anniversary, is proud to announce that Michael S. Hooker has received this year's Michael A. Fogarty "In the Trenches" Award.
This award is named after the late Michael A. Fogarty, a founding shareholder of Glenn Rasmussen Fogarty & Hooker, and is presented each year to an individual demonstrating excellence and integrity in civil advocacy with ongoing efforts and recent accomplishments in the representation of clients in the court system. It was presented on May 7, 2008 at the Hillsborough County Bar Association's annual Trial Lawyers Luncheon.
Mike has practiced in the area of commercial litigation since 1981. He has extensive experience in business tort litigation, products liability cases, trade regulation, breach of contract, and general commercial litigation. He has also written and lectured on civil litigation topics, particularly matters involving federal civil procedure. Mike has served as past president of both the Federal Bar Association and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. He is AV Peer Review Rated in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory and named one of The Best Lawyers in America® for Commercial Litigation. Recently, he also received the Judge George C. Carr Memorial Award, which recognizes excellence in federal practice. Mike holds an undergraduate degree with high distinction from the University of Virginia, a master's degree from Indiana University, and a law degree from the University of Virginia.
